The relationship between the physical properties of filter paper and filter performance

1. Quantitative analysis

Quantitative analysis in filters mainly manifests in two aspects: the weight and price of the filter. For a filter, its filtering area is fixed. Under a certain filtering area, the larger the quantity, the heavier the filter paper and the heavier the filter. Due to the high proportion of filter paper cost in filter cost, the cost is relatively high.

2. Thickness

For corrugated cylindrical filters, the thickness of the filter paper can limit the maximum filtering area of the filter.

3. Stiffness and burst resistance

Stiffness and burst resistance represent the deformation resistance, compressive resistance, high stiffness, and high burst resistance of filter paper, which can demonstrate good durability of the filter. However, if the stiffness is too high, it is easy to become brittle and the filter is prone to damage.

4. Resin content

Adding resin to filter paper is to increase its stiffness and shape during processing. Depending on the use, it is generally between 10% and 30%. If the resin content is too high, the resin can easily block the pore structure of the filter paper.
